Zyla is our founding female. She joined our family in 2022 as a mutual wedding present between my husband and I, and was my first introduction to the Siberian Husky breed.

She is a “momma’s girl” through and through, and loves to stick close to me. She is attentive and responsive to cues, and is my go-to choice whenever I want to take one of the “floofs” along for an adventure. The bond I share with her is the reason I started Hatfield Huskies and now seek to educate others about the benefits of heterosis in breeding programs.

Zyla is a sleepy girl in the mornings and loves to receive long, gentle strokes along the top of her head. She’s a relatively quiet girl, but will offer low, deep-throated “arhh woooos” when she’s stretching or feeling playful. She’s patient and gentle, which makes her great with children and an absolutely fantastic mother.

Zyla is OFA Hips and Elbows Certified and Embark DNA and Health Tested. She is 73.7% Siberian Husky, 17.5% Labrador Retriever, and 8.8% Alaskan Malamute. She has a low COI of 9%, which we are absolutely thrilled about.

Her mature weight ranges from 45-50 pounds depending on the season. Her coat color is Black and White, her coat length is “Plush”, and she has the most incredible blue eyes that pierce right into your soul. We absolutely love our Zyla girl. <3
